A father is still counting. The questions remain unanswered.

days a father has been counting • and counting

A child’s future deserves answers.
We demand an independent review.

What was submitted? What was considered? What remains unexplained? ASHÉ is calling for a documented examination of the complete record, with children’s safety and a fair process at its center.

Preserve the record. Verify the facts. Answer the questions.

The reason the clock keeps running

Waiting is not an answer.

This movement began with a father counting the days apart from his child. His questions about the decisions that changed their lives are the reason ASHÉ is calling for independent scrutiny.

The passage of time does not resolve a disputed record. Families need a way to understand what was filed, what was available to the decision-makers, and how the reasons for a decision were documented.

Our demand is clear: an independent review of the complete record, a documented response to each material question, and appropriate action on any verified failures.

We will distinguish a concern from a finding. We will verify records before naming individuals. We will protect children’s identities and confidential information. Accountability must be as careful with the truth as it is persistent in seeking it.

What accountability requires

A serious demand. A clear standard.

The work starts with a record people can examine and questions that receive a direct response.

01

Preserve the record

Identify the filings, orders, exhibits, and available hearing records. Keep originals intact and document where each item came from.

02

Verify each concern

Connect every public claim to supporting material. Mark missing records, disputed accounts, and unanswered questions clearly.

03

Seek independent review

Call for qualified reviewers who can examine the record and disclose relevant conflicts. Independence is part of the standard.

04

Ask for written answers

Request a response that addresses each material question and identifies the records relied on.

05

Protect the child

Keep identifying information and confidential case material out of the public campaign. A child’s privacy belongs at the center.

06

Follow through

Track requests, responses, and unresolved issues. Seek appropriate corrective action where a failure is established.

The unanswered questions

The record must support the answer.

These are the questions we want an independent review to address. They are requests for examination, not findings of misconduct.

What evidence was submitted, received, and available for consideration?
Filings, exhibits & receipt history
How?
How does the documented reasoning address the material evidence and concerns?
Orders, findings & hearing records
Where?
Where are the gaps, conflicting accounts, or missing explanations?
A sourced, chronological review
Next?
What response or corrective step is appropriate if a failure is verified?
Independent assessment & follow-through

The work behind the demand

Build the record.
Make the questions answerable.

ASHÉ’s action plan is to organize the material, obtain qualified independent assessment, and document the response. This is the work we are calling people to support.

Evidence first

Build a dated source index and timeline. Connect each question to the relevant document or clearly identify the missing record.

Review with independence

Seek qualified legal and subject-matter reviewers. Disclose conflicts and keep the conclusions separate from the campaign’s concerns.

Technology can help organize documents and flag questions for human review. It cannot establish misconduct, replace a qualified reviewer, or guarantee an outcome.

The call to action

Stand for an independent review.

Help turn unanswered questions into a documented request for scrutiny. We need careful research, qualified review, and people willing to follow the process through.

01

Document the questions

Help organize public-source research and identify the records needed to examine each concern.

02

Support qualified review

Offer relevant legal, research, or records-management experience. Review roles and access must be agreed before confidential material is shared.

03

Keep the demand visible

Share this call, follow the documented responses, and support appropriate next steps based on verified findings.

This is a call for review. An independent review has not been announced or confirmed on this page.

About this page. ASHÉ is calling for independent review; this page does not announce an appointed reviewer, an official investigation, or findings of misconduct. Public claims must be verified against supporting records, and confidential material and children’s identifying information must remain protected. The Umbrella Project is presented separately as a community initiative.
